Curtis+Cartwright: organisation, management and governance

We believe that every organisation contains a unique and dynamic mix of people, business processes, technology and culture, requiring appropriate management and governance structures and processes for ongoing success.

Case study: delivery review

We reviewed the business plan for a third-line maintenance organisation. We demonstrated that the introduction of contractorised logistics support would lead to such downsizing that a third-line maintenance military capability would no longer be viable. A different approach was adopted to retain this capability.

We provide advice on organisational, management and governance issues which often involve ICT. We develop and review business objectives, processes and structures, and we also provide stakeholder management services for projects and programmes.

We work with managers where there are difficult decisions to be made. As impartial providers of advice, we can facilitate discussion between stakeholders and help to assess options in a fair and meaningful way, thereby adding credibility to managerial decisions.

Our particular strengths lie in understanding business processes, ICT and business structures, analysing and assessing their impact on organisational performance and developing options for improving performance.

Case study: organisational change

We investigated how a technology research and delivery organisation should be absorbed by a service delivery organisation. The issues here were to ensure that skills and culture were best aligned in the new organisation to meet the service delivery objectives.
